CRYOPEN® TREATS ALL
BENIGN SKIN LESIONS

WHAT IS cryotherapy

Cryotherapy (or Cryosurgery) is a procedure in which extreme cold is applied to skin to destroy abnormal or unwanted tissue. The CryoPen® allows controlled freezing accurate to 1 mm, making it suitable for delicate areas such as around the eyes

It is commonly used to remove:

  • Skin tags
  • Seborrheic keratoses
  • Sun spots
  • Cherry angiomas
  • Pigmented spots
  • Warts

Results may be visible after just one treatment, depending on the lesion.

Cryosurgery (CryoPen) Treatment

Cryosurgery using the CryoPen® is a highly effective, fast and safe method for removing a wide range of benign skin lesions. The device delivers a precise jet of nitrous oxide to freeze and destroy unwanted tissue with minimal discomfort and no damage to surrounding skin

  • The nitrous oxide creates a controlled ice field that freezes the tissue rapidly.
  • Freezing duration varies by lesion type (typically 10–30 seconds).
2. Thaw Phase
  • The lesion is left to thaw naturally so the tissue can return to normal temperature.
3. Second Freeze Cycle
  • A second cycle may be applied to ensure full destruction of the targeted lesion.

What to Expect During Treatment

  • A mild stinging or cooling sensation during freezing
  • Slight discomfort that quickly settles after treatment

Aftercare Advice

  • Avoid picking the area while healing.
  • Keep the area as dry as possible for the first few days.
  • A scab will usually form and should naturally shed.
  • If a blister appears, this is normal—keep it intact where possible.
  • If the scab is knocked off early, protect the area with a dressing.
  • Avoid applying harsh products unless advised by your practitioner.
  • Protect the treated area from sun exposure and wear SPF 50.
  • Healing typically occurs within 1–6 weeks, depending on the lesion.
