Ellansé® is unlike traditional filler. As well as addressing wrinkles and folds, Ellansé® uses the body’s natural response to stimulate collagen production for long-lasting results that treat the underlying cause of facial ageing.
Ellansé® contains smooth microspheres (tiny particles) that are evenly distributed in the carrier gel, which fill areas of the skin affected by volume loss. Over the course of a few months, the product will stimulate your body’s natural collagen production. As the microspheres are broken down by the body, these collagen structures are left behind and continue to fill and provide volume to the skin.
The aim is not only to provide a smoother skin surface but also to restore the face’s individual features, providing a balance of the filler’s lifting effect on the face’s curved and hollowed areas. The use of PCL dermal filler is also far more widespread in treatments designed to restore and rejuvenate the face. Most commonly, it is used by plastic surgeons to complement an existing surgical procedure.

Volumising effects and correction of wrinkles and folds can be seen immediately after treatment. Ellansé® will then gradually stimulate production of your body’s own collagen to treat the underlying causes of facial ageing for long-lasting and natural-looking results.
You will get natural-looking, smooth and immediate results that last from between 1 to 4 years depending on which Ellansé® option your physician recommends for you. The results are maintained for the total duration of time according to the Ellansé® option chosen, enabling you to avoid multiple sessions.
Ellansé® is injected into the skin in tiny amounts using an ultrafine needle, resulting in minimal discomfort. The procedure is simple and convenient, and volumising results are immediate.
Composed of unique PolyCaproLactone (PCL) microspheres and Carboxymethyl Cellulose (CMC) carrier gel which are naturally broken down by the body into carbon dioxide and water and then eliminated without leaving any substances in your body.

Ellansé® should not be used in or close to sites where previous skin augmentation procedures (usually fillers) have been applied. Please speak to your physician for more information.
It is recommended to avoid hot bathing and vigorous exercise for 24 hours after treatment. Over-exposure to the sun and UV light should also be avoided for 1 week following treatment.
As with all fillers, there may be some swelling, localised redness or bruising at injection sites, itching and tenderness immediately after treatment. They are the result of the injection itself and generally resolve by themselves. A full set of possible side-effects are listed in our consent form.

- Avoid using aspirin or anti-inflammatory drugs to reduce the risk of bruising
- Bruising may be reduced with the application of ice-packs immediately following treatment
- Your physician may massage the treated area to encourage the product into place however, it is not advised for you to massage the area any further
- Avoid applying make-up to the treated area for the first 24 hours following treatment after this, it can be applied as normal
- Avoid vigorous exercise, sun and heat exposure for 3 days after treatment
- Application of vitamin K cream or arnica may also be used to speed up the resolution of the bruising
- DO NOT undergo major dental procedures for 3-4 weeks following treatment
It is important to wait until any injection-related symptoms have resolved to see results. Over the course of a few months, Ellansé® will stimulate your body’s natural collagen production for lasting correction of wrinkles and ageing signs or conditions.
