Tiredness Diagnosis
Anaemia affects a quarter of the world’s population at some point. In the hustle bustle of modern life you can often feel tired at the end of the day, but what if that tiredness is not just a result of being busy, what if the tiredness is happening during the day, and in the morning?
There are many causes of tiredness, some more serious than others, and a thorough consultation and examination is required to get to the root of the problem. In some cases the cause is anaemia, which can be a sign of vitamin deficiency, underlying hormone disturbances, bone marrow problems, or even blood cancer.
This package is for anyone who is concerned that they are more tired than they should be, who is feeling fatigued more often than not. We will help investigate the cause and the different types of anaemia that could be at the root of the problem. Treatments include:
- Initial consultation
- Blood tests directed by consultation
- Follow-up consultation for results and management plan
-
Easy Bruising
Blood thinners can cause you to bruise more easily, however, this can occur without taking medication, and can also occur without any obvious injury. If this is a problem we can investigate the possible underlying causes to rule out significant or concerning causes of easy bruising. This package includes the following treatments:
- Initial consultation
- Blood tests directed by consultation
- Follow-up consultation for results and management plan
-
Iron Infusion
This package is for those already diagnosed as iron deficient, and who are unable to tolerate the side effects of oral iron replacement. We provide quick and simple iron injections administering Ferinject; a revolutionary iron replacement that saves the need to take daily iron tablets. This package includes the following treatments:
- Initial consultation
- Blood test
- Injections
-
Bone Marrow Test
This test establishes if you have an infection, disease, or other problem in your bone marrow; the spongy tissue found inside your bones. Depending on your individual needs and blood test results, further investigations can be required. These include a bone marrow biopsy which can help determine if there are any problems with blood cell production. This test includes the following treatments:
- Bone marrow procedure
- Histopathology
-
Ultrasound Guided Lymph Node Biopsy
We all have lymph glands throughout our bodies which are normal, but when these become abnormally enlarged, further investigation is often required. Our biopsy can tell us if they are normal, or if there is another cause for their enlargement. This treatment includes the following elements:
- Initial consultation to assess need for biopsy
- US guided LN biopsy
- Histopathology reporting
- Follow-up consultation (results)
