Dermaroller and Dermapen®
Most of us would like to improve our skin in some way, and here at The Cooden Medical Group we have lots of ways to do just that. If you are looking for something naturally effective that provides quick results and little downtime, we recommend Dermaroller or Dermapen® treatment.
Both treatments do away with acids or chemicals and instead use tiny micro-medical needles to promote the natural repair mechanisms of the skin, stimulating repair and collagen growth using controlled channels of micro trauma.
Dermaroller
Dermaroller treatment involves the use of a rolling system, equipped with multiple thin needles to stimulate the skin. We provide home use Dermaroller treatment options, as well as a clinic based medical grade Dermaroller treatment course (3 treatments are recommended).
Dermapen®
This micro-needling device uses a stamp-like action on the skin; the depth of which is adjusted according to the area treated and dependent on the condition of your skin. In time, the healing process that follows the resulting ‘micro trauma’, leads to firming up of the skin and a visible tightening.
Most patients report to finding the Dermapen® more comfortable a treatment than the Dermaroller. The time needed to complete each session is significantly reduced due to the greater number of insertions. ® can also be combined with other treatments such as mesotherapy, chemical peels and electroporation.
Here at The Cooden Medical Group we use Dermaroller and Dermapen® to successfully treat the following issues:
- Acne scars
- Acne
- Enlarged pores
- Facial sagging
- Hair loss
- Ageing skin conditions on the face, neck, décolleté and the back of the hands
- Stretch marks on thighs, bust, buttocks and tummies
- Pigmentation
We use this treatment in conjunction with other procedures to ensure that the products we use penetrate the skin, effectively amplifying the effects, providing long lasting results.
