Amanda learns latest micro-needling techniques with world expert
Our Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner Amanda Combes has completed a masterclass in micro-needling with Dr Andrew Christie, Master-Needler and a world authority on medical aesthetics. Based in Paris, he is the Global Medical Trainer for Dermapen, the micro-needling device we use at Cooden.

Micro-needling is a minimally invasive aesthetic procedure to help rejuvenate the skin and is very effective for smoothing wrinkles and crow’s feet, improving the texture and tone of skin.
The treatment is carried out by a qualified medical professional using very fine needles to apply tiny pinpricks to the skin, so small that they are invisible to the naked eye. The needling stimulates the skin to produce new collagen-rich tissue, improving the appearance and texture of your complexion.
Although Amanda is a skilled and experienced micro-needling practitioner, this masterclass gave her a deeper understanding of how the procedure can address issues such as hyperpigmentation, rosacea and scarring from acne or chickenpox. She also learned more about the benefits of needling in skin-boosters and using compatible peels to enhance the results.
She said: “The masterclass was an inspiration - Dr Christie is a world expert in micro-needling so this was an amazing opportunity to learn from the best. I am looking forward to using what I’ve learnt to help patients, especially those with problem skin, feel more confident about their appearance.”
If you would like to see how micro-needling is carried out, Amanda will be doing a live demonstration and talk about the procedure at our Aesthetics evening on Thursday, November 7. Please call us on 01424 846190 to book a place.
