Micro-needling treatments at the Cooden Clinic
Micro-needling is a minimally invasive aesthetic procedure to help rejuvenate the skin and is usually
carried out on the face to treat a range of problems including:
- Wrinkles
- Acne scarring
- Enlarged pores
- Uneven texture and tone
The treatment is carried out by a qualified medical professional using very fine needles to apply tiny
pinpricks to the skin, so small that they are invisible to the naked eye. The needling stimulates the
skin to produce new collagen-rich tissue, improving the appearance and texture of your complexion.
Before the procedure, your practitioner will carry out a full consultation with you, including a facial
assessment. They will then discuss a treatment plan with you to achieve your desired results.
Treatment time is normally around an hour but you may need more than one session for the best
results. Your practitioner will talk about whether you need an anaesthetic cream before they start
the treatment to minimise any slight discomfort. We are able to adjust the depth of the needles
depending on your own comfort levels. You may have a bit of irritation or redness immediately
afterwards but this will not last long and you will notice the results within a couple of weeks.
We use the Dermapen micro-needling treatment at the Cooden Clinic, which you can read more
about here.
